We recently started to set time aside each week specifically for creating projects that we want to work on. We started calling this time Creative Corner. We want to try to schedule this in a few days a week to allow us to work with different materials or trying out a new technique. As an added benefit, there's no pressure from clients, no restrictions, and no additional setup required. It's important to set time aside periodically to work on projects that are fulfilling for you. These offer a nice relaxing break from the busy chaos and can also serve as a place to try out things that you normally wouldn't work with. You just never know what you will create during this time. You may find a totally new approach to your craft and take it to the next level.
